Send feedback and see what's new

Report a bug or request a feature from the Feedback button, follow its status, and read release notes on the What's New page.

Two things keep the conversation going between you and the TetherLines team: a Feedback button on every dashboard page, and a What's New page in the sidebar where release notes appear as updates ship.

Send feedback from any page

A round teal button sits in the bottom-right corner of every dashboard page. Selecting it opens a small Share Feedback panel.

  1. Pick a category: Bug, Feature, or General. General is selected when the panel opens.
  2. Type your message. The prompt changes with the category: a bug asks "What happened? What did you expect?" and a feature asks you to describe it.
  3. Select Submit. The button reads Sending... until the message is confirmed, then the panel says "Thanks for sharing." and "We review every submission."

Submit more clears the panel for another message. Escape, the X, or a click outside closes it. The page you were on is recorded with the message, so a bug report from the Pipeline already says where it happened.

The Feedback page

The same form lives on its own page at /dashboard/feedback. It is not in the sidebar; the acknowledgement email links to it, and you can open it by address. The page's categories are Bug Report, Feature Request, and General, the Message field is required, and Submit Feedback sends it.

Below the form, Your submissions lists everything you have sent, newest first, with its category, a status, and the date. The statuses are:

| Status | Meaning | |---|---| | Received | Logged and waiting for review. | | Reviewed | Someone on the team has read it. | | In progress | Work on it is under way. | | Done | Shipped or resolved. | | Closed | Reviewed and not planned. |

What happens after you send it

An acknowledgement email goes to the address on your agent profile with the subject "We received your bug report," "We received your feature request," or "We received your feedback." It quotes the start of your message and has a View status button that opens your Feedback page.

When a bug you reported or a feature you asked for ships, its status moves to Done and a second email tells you, with a link to your submissions.

What's New

What's New sits in the sidebar beside Help. When releases have been published since you last opened the page, the item carries a small count of how many are new.

The page lists releases newest first. Each one shows its title, a version number where there is one, its date, and a New marker if it was published since your last visit. The notes within a release are grouped under four labels:

  • New: something that did not exist before.
  • Improved: an existing feature that works better.
  • Fixed: a bug that is gone.
  • Removed: something taken out.

Opening the page marks every release as seen, and the count on the sidebar item clears when you leave. Until the first release is published, the page says "No release notes yet."
