Your 14-day trial
What happens between signing up and the first charge, why we take a card up front, and what happens if you let the trial run out.
Every new account starts with a free 14-day trial. The trial begins the moment you sign up, not when you finish setting things up, so it is worth getting your first goal and clients in during the first few days.
How the trial works
- Sign up at tetherlines.com and answer the four setup questions: how you work, your business or team name, your brokerage, and your annual targets.
- Pick Solo or Team on the checkout page and enter a card. Nothing is charged today. The page shows the exact date of the first charge, which is the day the trial ends.
- Use TetherLines normally. Everything you enter during the trial is yours and stays in the account when it converts.
- On the day the trial ends, the card is charged for the plan you chose, and the subscription continues from there.
You can cancel any time before the trial ends and nothing is charged. Open Settings, then the Billing & Seats tab, select Manage plan, and cancel from the billing portal.
Why we take a card up front
So nothing breaks the day the trial ends. An account with a card on file converts quietly and keeps working; without one, your dashboard would stop saving on day 14, in the middle of a week. The checkout page tells you the first charge date before you enter anything.
If you buy partway through
The trial does not restart. If you subscribe on day 10, the remaining four days are still free and the first charge lands on the original date. There is one trial per account, and it starts at signup.
If you leave checkout without a card
Your account still works for the rest of the 14 days. When the trial ends with no card on file, the account becomes read only: you can open everything and export it, but changes are not saved. Nothing is deleted.
You will get an email the day that happens. Start your subscription within 90 days, from the Billing & Seats tab, and everything comes back exactly as you left it. See Export your data for what happens after that window.
Where the trial shows
The Billing & Seats tab in Settings shows your plan, the trial end date, and the button to start or manage the subscription. Only the account owner and admins see this tab; agents on a team do not need it.
